Our Refurbished Apple iPhone Grading System Explained.

Whilst the device is given an overall grade, our approach to grading is slightly different to others. We assess the device across three key areas to make the grading decision as budget friendly for the end user. Our cosmetic grading considers the screen and housing. This is where you save money as a customer of Shop Circular. For example, if the housing is good (C) but the screen is excellent (A), we would still grade that device as good, rather than using the average of very good (Grade B). Therefore, with us working off the lowest grade established, rather than averaging, you get a better-quality device for less money!

Refurbished iPhone Screen Condition Criteria

Excellent (A) – The screen shows little to no signs of previous use.

Very Good (B) – The screen has marks which are not visible from arm’s length away.

Good (C) – Visible marks on the screen from arm’s length away, these are limited to scratches, there will never be cracks in the devices we send out.

Refurbished iPhone Housing Condition Criteria

Excellent (A) – The housing shows little to no signs of previous use.

Very Good (B) – The housing has marks which are not visible from arm’s length away.

Good (C) – Visible marks on the housing, these can be chips to the metal or deep scratching, the rear glass on a device will never be cracked (both lens and housing).

Refurbished iPhone Battery Health Explained

100% – Brand new, battery is as healthy as possible, the phone will perform flawlessly and responsively. With no "non genuine part" warnings.

80-99% – Battery will still support peak performance capabilities, however, may not last as long as brand new. The device will still last for a working day and this health is still a long-time from Apple’s ‘service’ message

<80% – We do not sell anything below 80% battery capacity. We are always working with our refurbishing partners to ensure these quality levels are met so we can begin to combat planned obsolescence on these newer models.
